I'm a Seattle native that really doesn't mind the rain. Although I don't like to wash my car and it really bugs me when my hair goes flat. No big hair jokes please, I did grow up in Lynnwood and went to Lynnwood High School...
And yes, I did spend a lot of time at the Alderwood Mall, which happened to be conveniently located across the street from my high school. I guess that's when this obsession with shopping really developed. But really, I only shopped after I was done studying. Once I was done with high school, I continued my studying at University of Washington where I graduated Cum Laude with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Psychology. I actually started my radio career right before my senior year in college. I decided to take an internship at another local radio station, and work my way up the ladder. My first paid gig was the assistant morning show producer for the Charlie and Ty show. Then I managed to work my way up to becoming their producer and the on-the-street girl. After 3 years of working for someone else, I managed to get my own morning show, so yes I am the Dana from the Chris and Dana morning show. I moved to The MIX 92.5 in August of 2000 and I love it here! I especially love all the great phone calls I get from everyone that listens.
When I'm not on the radio, you can find me shopping or playing with my dog Matese. He's a little 7-pound Maltese who is a little ball of fire. I guess I should mention I have a cat too, but he's pretty boring.
